58mm to 36mm Step Down Kit
Single version of the highly reviewed 46mm reviewed by Lance "best tasting", Hoon and Liz HappyBeans
This time it is 36mm to keep the bed depth ration similar to the 46mm but for 7-14g
- Sweet and full-bodied single shot espresso MOD - a basket that steps the from 58mm to 36mm.
- Specifically for 58mm machines, E61 and pretty much most 58mm machines. If it doesn't fit yours I'll happily refund you.
Kit comprising:
Basket: Laser perforated holes for precise hole sizes and repeatable pattern to ensure optimal water flow. Versatile flow profile: Low flow, tapered end, more forgiving on tamping, easy puck knock out. 468 holes, 0.3mm, 1.14mm pitch, Puck depth approx 28mm max at 14g.
Funnel: Funnel guides the grinds in to the 36mm portion
Spring and Puck-screen: Helps keep the puck dry for a consistent and clean workflow.
Please note while the basket is sized for 7g-14g (though exact weights can vary depending on bean and roast level)

Set your 58mm machine free - simply unclip the existing 58mm basket and replace with this stepped design.
Compatibility - I have tested this kit with Gaggia Classic and Lelit Mara X (E61). It is a bit looser than my 46mm and the basket includes a spare spring in case you want to adjust the level of clip. That being said, if there are any issues, get in touch and I'll happily refund.
